Morning all! I hope you are all settling back into the new school term and getting back to normal at long last. The holidays seemed to go on forever. My little man is back at playschool today…and my daughter is back to college tomorrow so peace and quiet is looming for me!!
Todays little project is a mini lipstick style treat holder box, I have also added a photo to show you the template as it should be. Im still coming up with every day projects but I have been coming up with Halloween projects which will come out once a week until Halloween is here I just need to work out which day is best and Im also going to do them as videos! Now everything is returning to normal I can get back to doing more, normal service will resume shortly…hooray!!!!
So as normal here are the measurements below in metric and imperial for you. do let me know if you have any questions.
6″ x 4″ (15.2cm x 10.1cm)
with the 4″ (10.1cm) along the top score at 1″ and 3″ (2.5cm and 7.6cm)
Then turn cardstock so the 6″ side is along the top and score at 1/2″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ (1.2cm, 3.8cm, 6.3cm and 8.8cm)
With the 1/2″ flap at the top you need to trim the tabs slightly on either side and round the corners and then round the corners of the tab. I have punched a 3/8″ hole in between the flap so its easier to open the box. Cut up the tabs to the score lines as shown in the picture. With the biggest flap you can leave it as it is or like me i have used the tag topper punch then added some dsp to the front which measures 2″ x 1 7/8″ (4.7cm x 5cm) which also was put into the tag topper punch. Attach the dsp before assembling the box.
When you are ready to assemble the box bring up the tabs underneath the two that are either side of the large tag topper tab then adhere the those two tabs (next to the tag topper) then bring the front ones round so the joins will be at the back of the box. then you just simply fold your flap in and decorate the box as you wish I hope this makes sense with the picture if you have any questions though please do get in touch.
