Best Year Ever gift bag using Stampin’ Up! supplies

Best year ever gift bag

Im just in time to still say good morning! I hope you are all having a great week so far!

How are you enjoying sale-a-bration? Isnt it fabulous and it gets better…coming up shortly will be four new sale-a-bration items and they are gorgeous!! Ill keep you all posted on it but you dont want to miss out on it!! So that leads me to days project which is using the free designer series paper you can get through sale-a-bration at the moment and its called Best Year Ever.  It incorporates beautiful colours like Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Crushed Curry to name a few.  I used Calypso Coral cardstock to cut out the 2-3/8 Inch Scallop Circle Punch and then used my Paper-Piercing Tool to make the border a bit more decorative.  I used the sale-a-bration stamp set to Simply wonderful to stamp out the sentiment out using Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad.  The ribbon again and the button (oh yes im making the most of my sale-a-bration products) are from the free accessory pack in the sale-a-bration promotion….see how good it is you can make entire projects with free items!!! At the bottom for decoration i punched out two pansies with the Pansy Punch sponged the edges and added a button  and some Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine to bring all the colours together.  i have made the bag a magnetic close so the top flap has a flap underneath to hold the magnet.  So if you would like to make your own heres the measurements….im good to you arent i??

Designer series paper 11 1/2″ x 10 1/2″  (29.2cm x 26.6cm)

On the 11 1/2″ (29.2cm) side score at 2″, 4″ and 10″ (5cm, 10.1cm and 25.4cm)

then turn your paper and score the 10 1/2″ (26.6cm) side at 3 1/2″, 5″, 8 1/2″ and 10″ (8.8cm, 12.7cm, 21.5cm and 25.4cm)

the 2″ (5cm) is the flap you turn underneath the front part that shows its just to hold one half of the magnet or you can leave it out all together its up to you.  cut away the rest of that half of the paper as you only want to leave the top flap and then looking at the bottom part of the paper there are four sections which you just need to trim up the score line until it meets the horizontal score line these are just to make the bottom of the bag.

I hope that makes sense.  i think i need to get back and do some videos!!

Anyway im signing off for now, if you have any questions just get in touch and ill be happy to help.

Have a great day!

Suzy x
