Good morning all. Thanks for stopping by.
I thought I would revisit an old favourite as I have done a lot lately with the Sale-a-bration freebies. I used the gorgeous Regarding Dahlias stamp set but i did sneak a little SAB in here with the thank you stamp which is from the Lotus Blossom free stamp set. Doesn’t the dahlia look beautiful embossed with wild wasabi which i dont think is available any longer as i have just seen oops! but you can still see that what embossing powder you do use the dahlia will turn out a wonderful focal point. The finished dimensions for the box are 3″x 3″ x 1 1/2″ (7.6cm x 7.6cm x 3.8cm) when the box was put together all i did was trim up the sides to give it sloping sides but it looks pretty good.
The cardstock i used is Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White and the punches i used are 1 Inch Circle Punch and the 1-1/4 Inch Circle Punch. I left it like that i didn’t feel the box needed anything extra on it.
Heres the measurements for you
Cardstock that measures 6″ x 10″ (15.2cm x 25.4cm)
Score the 6″ (15.2cm) side at 1 1/2″ (3.8cm) and 4 1/2″ (11.4cm)
then turn your cardstock and score the 10″ (25.4cm) side at 1″ (2.5cm), 4″ (10.1cm), 5 1/2″ (13.9cm) and 8 1/2″ (21.5cm)
with your card in the long horizontal position cut up the short vertical score lines up to the long horizontal then repeat this on the opposite side. Determine which will be your top and bottom and attach two tabs to the lid and four tabs to the bottom.
Cut your top piece of cardstock (for the lid) to 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ (7.3cm x 7.3cm) stamp out your dahlia using Versamark Pad and sprinkle your powder ove rthe top shaking off the excess then use your Heat Tool – Uk Plug ( Heat Tool – Eu Plug) to emboss. Do the same for the sentiment and punch out using the circle punches and layer with dimensionals. Layer the dahlia on top of your box with dimensionals also.
Have a fabulous day
