Let’s celebrate gift bag box using Stampin’ Up! products

lets celebrate boxbag 1   lets celebrate boxbag 2

Afternoon all.

I hope you had a great weekend and a lovely Mothers Day.  I had breakfast in bed and cards and gifts and dinner cooked for me so i was spoilt rotten and thoroughly enjoyed it haha!!  But its back to normality now and back with another project.

Todays project is a gift bag box. Im calling it that as it looks like a bag but its made with cardstock so its sturdy like a box.  I kept the colours very simple I used Smokey Slate from the neutrals cardstock collection and then just added a little wave of colour with Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and a Bermuda Bay candy dot.  The designer series paper is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.  When i punched out the Extra-Large Oval for the handles i kept one of the cut outs to layer behind the sentiment which is from the Sumthin’ Sumthin’ Clear-Mount Stamp Set which i punched out with Scallop Oval Punch.  I used the Smoky Slate Classic Stampin’ Pad for the sentiment to keep all the colours in keeping with each other.  it turned out a good size to the finished dimensions are 4″ x 3″ x 1 3/4″ (not including the handles its the box part) so if you would like to make your own heres the measurements and as normal if you would like any of the products i have used you can SHOP HERE.

You need a piece of cardstock that measures 12″ x 6″(30.4cm x 16.5cm)

Score the 12″ side at 4″, 5 3/4″, 9 3/4″ and 11 1/2″ (10.1cm, 14.6cm, 24.7cm and 29.2cm)

then score the short side at 2″ and 5″ ( 5cm and 12.7cm)

mark out or cut a template so you can punch out your handles.  Then cut up your vertical score lines to meet your horizontal score lines.

The dsp you need is 2 x pcs 3 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ (9.8cm x 7.3cm) and 2 x pcs 1 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ (4.1cm x 9.8cm)

Thats really all there is to it.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Take care

Suzy x
