Blooming cute box

blooming cute box 1   blooming cute box 2

Good morning, good morning how are we all this morning?

Im trying to pull the mattress off my back right now hehe.

So i hope you are liking the projects that are coming out.  Todays features the very beautiful painted blooms paper so apt for this time of year as all the plants are coming back through.

Despite how dinky this box is you can see that i put a standard size tealight in there are theres still room so its up to you what you use it for, earrings or necklace would be good if put on a backing first.

I wanted to use different colours so going with the dsp i went with pacific point and garden green and they are lovely.  I used the pacific point candy dots but on the other i had to use old olive as i only have the brights at the moment but it doesnt make to much of a difference.

I have been busy lately with coming up with new projects and the giveaway on facebook and i have made 100 swaps for the Regional training day in Telford in a couple weeks?  Who else is going?  Im so looking forward to it, last year was fantastic and i dont think ill be disappointed this year.   I will put up a picture of my swaps on here on the day of the training which is Saturday 16th May. It took quite a long time to make them all….but i wont say anymore for now!!!

So you know what to do to get your supplies……..SHOP HERE

The finished dimensions of the box are 2″ x 2″ x 1/2″ (5cm x 5cm x1.2cm)

cardstock needs to measure 5 1/2″ x 4″ (13.9cm x 10.1cm)

Score the long side at 1/2″, 2 1/2″, 3″ and 5″ (1.2cm, 6.3cm, 7.6cm and 12.7cm)

then turn it and score the short side at 1/2″, 1″, 3″ and 3 1/2″ (1.2cm, 2.5cm, 7.6cm and 8.8cm)

keeping the short side along the top with the 1/2″ and 1″ score lines at the top also cut away the two rectangles on each side down the the 3″ score line.  then at the bottom snip each little square once to form the tabs that will be adhered to the box.  Round the corner of the 1/2″ flap as this will be tucked in to the top.
