I hope you like this little sweetie holder its my first project for the Pootlers Design Team. As some of you know I am a Pootler (part of Sam aka Pootles team) and every month 4 members of the team are picked at random, Then Sam sends us a stamp set which is secret even for the designers until we receive it, then every Thursday for the month we post up our project for that week.
We received the stamp set My Hero and it has something for everything.
Its also a Ronald McDonald house charity stamp set so its a great way to get recognition to the set and the charity.
So upon looking at this set I was thinking oo look Halloween and Christmas easy peasy…but what else should i use? well you will have to come back each week to find out!! yes im a meany aren’t i?
So being the person I am and how my brain functions i picked out the Halloween stamp to use first as this is the next holiday coming up.
The project does not require an awful lot really you can add as much or as little as you like but one of the rules of the design team is we can only use one stamp set but we can use anything else in our stash. So i incorporated some new product…don’t worry the catalogue is now live so you can get it to!!!!
To make it you need a piece of basic gray cardstock that measures 7 3/4″ x 2″ and on the landscape side score at 3 1/2″ and 4 1/2″ then punch each end with the scallop tag topper punch
then you need another piece of basic gray to wrap around that measures 5 9/19″ x 1 5/8″ score it in landscape at 1″, 1 3/4″, 3 3/4″, 4 5/8″.
Add adhesive to the front and back of the tagged piece and wrap your other piece around it. Make sure your join is at the front this will be covered by the pumpkin . Next i added some of the Halloween scenes Edgelits ( the fence and bat) wrapped them round and adhered in place. Stamp your pumpkin either on coordinating cardstock or whisper white and punch out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch. Add the pumpkin to some layered background pieces i used the 1 3/8″ circle punch and the 1 3/4″ scalloped circle from the layering circles framelits. Add it over the join from the wrap around piece. Next i used the Halloween night bakers twine to thread through the top and added the bat. I hope you like it and if you want to order your seasonal products you can do that HERE.
Come back next thursday for the next Design Team project
